Las tres cruces, Popayan, Colombia

Yesterday at 6 am I went for running to "El cerro de las tres cruces". My intention was to go first to "El cerro del morro", then to "El cerro de las tres cruces" and go back down by the church in front of me. Of course, the plan was being created on the spot, and I did not bring anything with me, (mobile or water or anything).

Then I asked a person and he told me that i could take a path "over there" and could reach the church.

I took it. Then, at some point there was a crossing and I took right (what i thought it was the fastest way towards the church). Suddenly, I found myself in a private property and hesitate, but I continued since i would cross it quickly. Very intense that moment.

I crossed it, and continued, but very fast i found myself in a fence. I could not continue, so i had to go back. I turned and suddenly two dogs came towards me. They were really angry, and approaching quickly.

It was in the middle of the mountain, but i could not find a stick or anything to defend myself. So the dog was one meter in front of me barking at me extremely furious showing me his teeth. Behind him another dog. I have to go towards him!!!

I was frozen, and did not know what to do until, I do not know from where, I start shouting at him. It worked and he went backwards. So, i could move. Innocent of me I thought he was just telling me "dont go in that direction" So, i continued and, before reaching the private property again, he was waiting for me with 7 more dogs.

And I had to pass.

He run towards me and stop at one centimeter of myself. God i had to go towards him and it was clear his intention....

Then i shouted with all my forces again and he moved a bit, just a bit, backwards. Then i moved a bit backwards and he came back with his friends.

I looked around and decided to jump in another direction a small clift. Tricky but, few minutes later I was on the road again...

God.... i am explaining to you and still feel the fear. I had a really bad time.
